Welcome to Our World of Transformative Solutions

I love to be out of my comfort zone. I have always loved it. Whether it was while serving in the U.S. Army or starting a new venture or riding a rhinoceros, I have always wanted to live my life to the fullest.

My goal is to enable you to do the same. To give you the confidence to try, and the personal strength to succeed.

For me, discovering my strengths took time. But once I let go of fear, I realized that there was no limit. My first step was changing the way I think, where I began developing the tools that I now live my life by.

Since then, I have surrounded myself with people that I admire, people that inspire, people that have something to teach, and from whom I can learn. I know that learning a new way of doing things is a challenge, but with the right set of skills and abilities, anything and everything is possible.

I believe my purpose is to become the fullest expression of myself and to help others do the same.

On this page, I hope to give you a glimpse of my journey, and the process that polished me.

My Directory Game

How selling Directory Ads opened the Tech Door

Print Publishers, magazines, newspapers and local circulars, all know their life blood comes from paid advertisers. Directories know this more than others and therefore provide a more intense training for their sales representatives. From this understanding I not only lead.my office in sales for three straight years, I understood what it took to make money in the print game.

My tenure with GTE Directories allowed me to be a part of a major and bold corporate shift from printed directories to digital directories which we won the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award for the development of SuperPages the first online business directory.

The Journals

Telling the Story

The Journal journey began with rejection.

Yes rejection!

Upon returning to Compton after college, my hometown newspaper publisher whom I admired, rejected my application to work with him at the Compton Bulletin. But I was determined to realize my vision to become a newspaper man in my hometown so I constantly developed the business model, the product and unique service of delivering local news to every doorstep in the city, and when the time came I was ready to deliver!

This is as much about telling the story as it is living the vision. That what journalism is, telling the story and the role of print media is to distribute and circulate the story!

BlackLA

West of the Mississippi

Meeting Etha Robinson who is from Mississippi, unbeknownst to me then, would become one of the most important relationships I would have-not only regarding BlackLA, but Black life in general. I voluntarily began publishing the newsletter for her African American Food Association.

Etha is now a retired science teacher and founder of the African American Food Association. She is also the National Juneteenth Commission’s official Tea Cake Commissioner. While Etha makes a most delicious tea cake, more importantly, Etha has stories to go along with the tea cakes and as a teacher she has a way about telling stories.

I believe the Universe sends us the exact and essential bearer of light at the appropriate time. Mostly when it has happened for me, the focus was never on the gift they bared, but the service I provided.
